Jade Windscreen + ASR (Astragalus Shiitake Reishi)

This combination of Yu Ping Feng San (Jade Windscreen) extract with highly concentrated extracts of immune-boosting Astragalus, Shiitake, and Reishi mushrooms gives the benefits of stronger dosing in the convenience of a simple encapsulated product.

This formula is a valuable component of a long-term strategy for deficient patients and those who frequently are ill during the winter months. It can be taken as added support at a low dose during the months that the patient is frequently ill. If a patient has become ill, the strategy would be to switch them from this product to Blue Poppy Cold Quell or some other appropriate product for an external invasion.

People’s Herbs ASR was one of our very first formulas. It was originally manufactured as a contract formula for a clinic in Portland. When they shared with us the glowing reports they were receiving on the product, we decided to make it available for a wider audience. Over the years many have benefited from using this product. Patients who suffered frequent colds, once on the product, no longer were becoming ill.

Others who were sick were recovering more quickly. After many years we are reformulating ASR to include Jade Windscreen (Yu Ping Feng San) to further bolster its ability to help those who frequently are struck by external pathogens. Yu Ping Feng San of course on its own is often enough to help strengthen the wei qi; with added extracts of astragalus, shiitake and reishi mushrooms it is even stronger in this respect. In this product the Jade Windscreen (bai zhu, fang feng, huang qi) is cooked as a formula and sprayed into an extract powder.

Highly concentrated powdered extracts of astragalus, reishi, and shiitake are then added. The powders are blended and encapsulated. The resulting product is an improvement over an already well designed formula. The ideal patient for this formula is unfortunately all too common in the hectic, energy-depleting workplace. These people catch every cold going round the office or factory, or every one that their child brings home from daycare.

It is a frustrating experience to be again and again and again fighting off a cold. This is the traditional indication for Jade Windscreen, and our new product provides the extra strength to get the job done. Please know that this new formula can be taken through the cold and flu season at a low dose. If a patient has become ill, the strategy would be to switch them from this product to Cold Quell from Blue Poppy or some other appropriate product for an external invasion.
